McGirts Creek Park field ADA compliant

Several Jacksonville officials including Mayor John Peyton, City Council Vice President Daniel Davis and representatives from the Parks, Recreation, Entertainment and Conservation Department will officially dedicate the enhancements at McGirts Creek Park Saturday. One of the major enhancements is the completion of the city’s first American Disabilities Act-compliant baseball field (above). The asphalt field was covered with rubber, making it safe and easy to maneuver for those confined to a wheelchair. The ceremony is at 9 a.m.
