Excitement was in the air as representatives from D.R. Horton Homes crossed the grand ballroom stage at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront to claim an impressive four industry awards and 15 “Million Dollar Circle” awards at the 13th annual Laurel Awards. The highly anticipated, black-tie event took place on Friday, April 6.

Themed “Passion, Desires, Laurel 2006” the awards ceremony noted the benchmark dedication of Northeast Florida’s real estate industry. Each year, the event provides tough competition among the area’s best.

The hottest local talent in building, design, sales and marketing is recognized, with guests from all segments of the First Coast development and homebuilding industry in attendance.

The sound of applause filled the room as the builder collected a variety of Laurel Awards in two program categories. In Advertising, Marketing and Media, D.R. Horton Homes won the 2006 Laurel Award for Best Division Signage Program, as well as Best Web Site for a Large/National Volume Builder. In Individual Achievement, new home sales associates Eddie Crosby and Pam Polowy received the Laurel Award for Top Producer of the Year for a Builder (Attached Homes-Partner/Team). Carol Bramer and Laura Huesgen received the Laurel Award for Top Producer of the Year for a Builder (Detached Homes-Partnership/Team) and Jason Brooks received the Laurel Award for Rookie Sales Person of the Year.

In Sales Achievement, the D.R. Horton team earned 15 “Million Dollar Circle” awards in the following categories:

$3 Million - $5 Million - Kim Green, $5 Million - $7 Million - Amanda Terry, Joan Armorer-Clarke and Josh Lewis; $7 Million - $10 Million Cathy Scott, Jason Coston, Jim Lore and Robert Woods Over $10 Million - Anne van Schellenbeck, Daryl Gilbert, Eddie Crosby, Jason Brooks, Merry McGinty, Pamela Polowy and Suzanne Massey.

The 2006 Laurel Awards, hosted by the Northeast Florida Builders Association’s Sales and Marketing Council, was co-emceed by Billy Catlin of Catlin Ramsey Communications and Laurel Committee Chair Amber King of D.R. Horton Homes. The company also was recognized as a Gold Sponsor for the event.
