Pam Benson will serve her last sandwich at Paradise Cafe Friday. Benson, like all the other restaurants except Subway sandwiches, is moving out of 140 W. Monroe to make way for the Dalton Agency to renovate the building and move its operation Downtown. Benson has been painting for years and decorated her restaurant with her work. She is, as she called it, “de-decorating” this week and gave one of her paintings to Mike Sigler, the head of security at the Main Library and a regular customer. “Now I’ll have time to paint again,” said Benson.
