The Jacksonville City Group, the local affiliate of the national Legal Marketing Association’s Southeastern Chapter (LMASE), is hosting its inaugural seminar entitled, “Update on Florida Bar Advertising Rules,” Dec. 4 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at The River Club.

The lunch program is for attorneys, legal administrators and in-house marketing/business development professionals who are responsible for creating their law firm’s marketing materials within the advertising rules and regulations of The Florida Bar. The session will provide attendees with a better understanding of The Florida Bar advertising rules, requirements, filing procedures, as well as guidance on what are acceptable and non-acceptable forms of lawyer advertising.

Panelists include Kenneth H. P. Bryk, who serves as Branch Discipline Counsel for The Florida Bar in Orlando, and teaches various ethics and advertising courses for The Florida Bar; Sasha Funk, president of Tampa Bay Legal Marketing LLC, who serves on The Florida Bar’s Statewide Grievance Committee on Advertising and is co-chair of the Legal Marketing Association’s Tampa City Group; and John Remsen, president of The Remsen Group, who is widely recognized as one of the country’s leading authorities on law firm marketing and is a former member of The Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Advertising. Thompson West is the event sponsor.

The cost is $15 for Legal Marketing Association members and $30 for non-members, payable at the door. Reservations are required and space is limited. To RSVP and for more information about this event, please contact Tom Helm at Rogers Towers at 346-5528, or [email protected] by Nov. 30.
