Having an attractive booth is a major incentive for vendors — after all, who’s going to visit a booth that’s not appealing?
But, there are more reasons to have an eye-catching booth — in this case, a $500 check for a favorite charity.
One of the traditions of the Realtor-Builder Tradeshow and Luncheon, which is Sept. 27 this year at the Prime Osborn Convention Center in Jacksonville, is the contest angle.
There are four categories and winners of each will get the $500 check for their charity of choice.
The categories:
• Best Themed Booth
• Best Booth Décor
• Most Creative
• Most Original
According to the entry form:
“The theme for the booth contest is a train theme to coincide with the event name ‘All Aboard: Destination Northeast Florida.’ If you plan to participate in the booth contest, the design of your booth should follow this theme in some way. Let your imagination take you wherever it may.”
A panel of judges will decide after touring the booth area early in the show. Winners will be announced after lunch.
Booth decor must stay within the 10 x 10 confine, there cannot be any loud music and, due to convention center regulations, no balloons will be allowed.
