The 29th annual Realtor-Builder Tradeshow is set for Oct. 30 and will feature a new Carnivàle theme and a reduced ticket price. Instead of the formal lunch provided in previous years, attendees at this year’s event will be treated to a tour of carnival-street foods from around the world integrated throughout the show. The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.
The Realtor-Builder Tradeshow is presented by the Northeast Florida Builders Association’s (NEFBA), NEFBA’s Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) and the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR). Like last year, it’s at the Osborn Center. Homes and Land magazine is the event’s platinum sponsor.
Perhaps the biggest difference from last year is the cost. In response to feedback from attendees of last year’s event, the entry fee has been reduced from $40 to $10.
“Around the globe from Italy to Trinidad to New Orleans, there is a tradition of throwing a fête — a party or Carnivàle — to celebrate the end of a fast,” said Alayna Oram, SMC chairperson. “This past year our real estate market has survived through some very lean times. We believe those times are coming to an end, and now it’s time to celebrate at our own Carnivàle.”
The Realtor-Builder Tradeshow gives realtors, builders, developers and related industry professionals an opportunity to network, acquire a wealth of practical tips and tools, discover valuable information on real estate industry products and services, and learn about new and existing communities. While visiting more than 100 booths and sampling hors d’oeuvres, attendees can enter to win giveaways such as gasoline cards, Visa gift cards and gift baskets. Attendees must bring their business cards to enter the raffles.
