Workers from 9680 Carpet Contract worked throughout the day Wednesday to replace the carpet in the Lynwood Roberts room at City Hall. The old carpet was damaged March 17 after a microwave malfunctioned in a nearby break room that caused the sprinkler system to turn on and dampen the floors and forced an evacuation of the building. Following the fire, the carpets were steam cleaned. Workers said they began the project Wednesday morning and would hopefully be done no later than today.
