Smith Hulsey & Busey attorney Stephen D. Moore Jr. has been appointed to the Saint Andrew’s Lighthouse’s board of directors. The non-profit organization provides temporary, low-cost housing to patients and families receiving medical care away from their home communities.

Moore, a shareholder and transactional lawyer in Smith Hulsey & Busey’s business department, represents public and private companies through growth and other dynamic cycles, handling mergers, acquisitions, contract preparation and negotiation, entity structuring and other general business matters.

“I am honored to serve on the Lighthouse’s board of directors,” said Moore. “I plan to draw upon my experience counseling organizations on the implementation of strategic plans as the charity continues to grow.”

In the past few years, the Lighthouse has expanded its services and now aims to build a large permanent facility. To support these growth plans, in addition to Moore, the charity elected one of its board directors, architect Trevor S. Lee, to the position of president, and appointed landscape architect Dale Gilbert to the board.

“We are blessed to have Trevor Lee, Dale Gilbert and Steve Moore contributing their professionalism, experience and individual skills to our board and our future,” said Ed Asher, executive director of Saint Andrew’s Lighthouse. “Jacksonville is becoming a global destination for excellent medical care, and we plan to be here for the ever-increasing number of out-of-town patients and their families.”
