How did you get involved?
The Legal Art Walk was a natural combination of my interests. I am a lifelong painter and recently had my first one-woman show. I thought it would be fun for other members of the legal community to showcase their talents and raise money for a good cause. Our next show is set for April 2009.
Why did you get involved?
I volunteered with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid when I first moved to Jacksonville and was impressed by the great work they were doing particularly with predatory lending issues.
What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
The satisfaction of raising money for a great organization and getting to know some terrific talented lawyers.
What was the last book you read or are reading?
I am alternating between “Miami” by Joan Dideon and “The Tin Roof Blowdown” by James Lee Burke.
