State Rep. Stan Jordan and Gov. Charlie Crist congratulate each other Thursday on signing dental legislation Jordan has been working on for years. The bill is the product of an agreement with the Florida Dental Association and Florida Dental Laboratory Association and covers several things including dental prescriptions, patient records and better tracking of where dental appliances are made and out of what materials. “You can buy a 99-cent Snickers Bar and the wrapper has to say what’s in it,” said Jordan. “You can buy something for your mouth that costs $1,000 to $1,500 and you have no idea what’s in it or where it came from.”
