Attorney Mike Crumpler was recently elected President of the Rotary Club of West Jacksonville for 2008-09 Rotary year. With over 160 members, the club has nearly 20 who are attorneys including Bill Scheu, Circuit Court Judge Waddell Wallace; Ham Cooke; Mark Hulsey, III; John McCorvey and Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Executive Director Mike Figgins.
“I have always been very proud to serve my community both as a lawyer and as a Rotarian,” said Crumpler.
Founded by Attorney Paul Harris in Chicago, Ill., the Rotary Club has over 100 years of dedicated service to their local communities and to the World. The Rotary International organization has dedicated itself to eradicating polio throughout the world.
Locally, the Rotary Club of West Jacksonville was instrumental in completing an Americans with Disabilities Act approved baseball park for children with disabilities on the Westside of Jacksonville and provides water purification equipment and services to the Dominican Republic.
This year, the attorneys of the Rotary Club of West Jacksonville will provide pro bono services to Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. Figgins said he’s proud of the service the Rotary Club of West Jacksonville has committed to JALA.
Crumpler is a Board Certified Workers’ Compensation attorney who specializes in defense of accidents and injuries at work. Crumpler earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Florida State University in 1990 and works as sole practitioner in his office on Park Street.
