Richard Bowers

When Richard Bowers needs to sell his books, he doesn’t even hesitate deciding where to go. Bowers knows Chamblin BookMine is his only choice.

“I’m not going anywhere else ever again,” Bowers says.

And the story Bowers tells makes it easy to see why it’s his only choice.

Bowers recently had an estate sale at his home. At the estate sale he had a variety of items for sale, but the one item he had most of was something every one of us has-books. Bowers had box after box just full of books. There were new books and there were old books. There were some in mint quality, and some, not so much.

Someone suggested Ron Chamblin of Chamblin BookMine come by to take a look. After examining the books, Chamblin bought several boxes on the spot.

The next day, Chamblin called Bowers with some surprising information.

“He said after looking at the condition and quality of some, he hadn’t paid me enough and he was sending another check,” Bowers says. “I thought it was a joke at first. I thought, this can’t be real.”

But it was real, and Chamblin was certainly not joking.

“I was so pleased to find that caliber of a businessman,” Bowers says. “You don’t find that very often.”

“To me, that’s the quintessential description of a good and fair businessman,” Bowers says. “Talk about loyalty.”
