What’s all the construction on Bay Street?

The construction that you see along Bay Street stretches from Main Street to Talleyrand Avenue. The purpose of the construction is to create one-way traffic lanes, also known as, reversible lanes. The goal is to create an easier route for motorists driving to and from football games and other events surrounding Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. New traffic lights called “blank out” lights will also be installed. The lights tell motorists when they can and cannot make turns and are said to help with the overall flow of traffic. The construction is supposed to be finished by the Jaguars first home game of their regular season.
