Cars and trucks weren’t the only travelers passing through Downtown this week. Wednesday, bottlenose dolphins swam by The Landing around noon. The combination of fresh and saltwater in the St. Johns River allows dolphins to search for a meal in the local waterway, according to Lee Ann Clements, professor of biology and marine science at Jacksonville University.
