December’s version of the First Wednesday Art Walk tested the event’s slogan of “Rain or Shine.”

With powerful thunderstorms anticipated to hit Northeast Florida yesterday afternoon and into the evening, it didn’t deter every patron from celebrating the holiday-inspired Art Walk and the last one of 2009.

Featured events included a custom toy show, “Designers in Toyland,” by AIGA members at 299 North Hogan, a sighting of Mr. and Mrs. Claus around the Greenleaf Building, a free screening of “Elf” featuring Will Ferrell at Snyder Memorial Church and more.

The next Art Walk is also the first of the New Year on Jan. 6.
