From Fogle Fine Art & Accessories to now Fogle Fine Art & Consulting and from living in Jacksonville full-time to moving to Nashville, it’s been a busy several months for Leigh Fogle.
Don’t let the changes fool you though: she’s committed to Jacksonville.
“We still have our home here and are committed to Jacksonville,” she said. “We’ve been here too long and this is my community.”
Fogle has been consulting businesses in art design for their buildings, selling individual art and accessories and specialized in custom framing since she opened for business 15 years ago and has continued to grow.
She’s set up shop in numerous places over the years — from a spare bedroom in her one-time Mandarin townhouse to office space along “designers row” on Philips Highway — but has called the 3312 Beach Blvd. building in historic St. Nicholas her place of business for several years.
The recent name change was the result of wanting to better represent a major part of her business, she said. Some of her art consultation clients include the PGA Tour, numerous health care facilities like St. Luke’s, Mayo Clinic and Shands Gainesville and the corporate offices of businesses such as Vistakon, Florida East Coast Industries and Zurich Insurance.
As for the move to Nashville, it was to support her husband Bryan’s dream and new job as a staff writer position with a music publishing company.
“He’s always been extremely supportive of my business and put his goals on hold to help us succeed,” said Fogle. “The opportunity came and it’s time to back him up ... we’re extremely excited about it all and I know something good will come of it.”
The Fogles still own their Jacksonville home and are renting in Nashville, with Leigh traveling back to Jacksonville the first week of every month to work closer to the business. Several days during the third week of each month, she travels to meet clients in other areas of the country, mainly in the Southeast.
The accumulation of frequent flyer miles hasn’t been the only positive of the change, as Fogle said she’s been able to relax more with a flexible schedule.
The downfall of the back-and-forth has been being away from her family at times, but she said her children are old enough to understand and that the time lapses are never too long.
“I’m really enjoying it,” she said of the change.
