Visit Jacksonville announced today that as of July 13, its office will reside in the Greenleaf Building located at 208 N. Laura St. The new office will occupy over 11,900 square feet of space on two floors which will incorporate staff offices and a new visitor center to encourage street traffic.

With its lease at its current location at 550 Water St., Suite 1000 set to expire, Visit Jacksonville opted for a more prominent and expanded space in the heart of Downtown. The new location will also give the organization an opportunity to participate in signature Downtown events such as First Wednesday Art Walk and Jacksonville Jazz Festival.

“Visit Jacksonville is truly committed to the future of Downtown development as outlined in the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission’s Downtown Action Plan,” said John Reyes, president and CEO of Visit Jacksonville. “Our new location will grant the destination and our attractions, hotels, transportation and dining and nightlife offerings more visibility to both visitors in the city and local residents.”

Due to the large amount of pedestrian traffic at existing facilities, Visit Jacksonville will continue to operate visitor centers in The Jacksonville Landing, Jacksonville International Airport, the Beaches Museum & History Center and the Jacksonville Port Authority’s Cruise Terminal.

“The Greenleaf Building’s ownership group felt this was a perfect opportunity to show our support for Visit Jacksonville and the superb job they do in promoting tourism and economic growth,” said Christopher Reibling, asset manager for Taurus Southern Investments. “We are excited to provide them with a high profile location in the center of Downtown Jacksonville. The visibility gained for both the building and Visit Jacksonville will be a boost for the entire neighborhood.”
