• The Nassau Board of County Commissioners voted 4-1 last month to continue the suspension on the collection of the County’s impact fees through December 31.  They also voted 4-1 to continue the 50 pecent reduction in building permit fees through September 30. 

• Since kicking off the Encore Realtor Appreciation Days on March 1, over 50 area Realtors have earned a spot on the “A-list” for selling a Lennar Home. The promotion recognizes all Realtors who sell a Lennar home through July 31 and all Realtors on the A-List will receive a piece of jewelry valued at $1,200-1,500. If a Realtor sells more than one Lennar home, they will receive a piece of jewelry for each home they sold and winners will receive their jewelry pieces at Carlyle & Co. at the St. Johns Town Center on August 13.

• Mattamy Homes will open model homes in this summer at Sevilla, located at World Commerce Parkway and International Golf Parkway in St. Augustine. There are 43 new 50-foot and 60-foot home sites available and most offer lake or conservation area frontage. New single-family homes are priced from the $150s, and new floor plans include the 2,164 square foot Ashley; the Jessica, with 1,888 square feet of living space; and the Michele, with 2,402 square feet.

• Drees Homes has a new model in the Waterbrook Falls community. The Mayport has 1,773 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Prices start at $122,400.

• The Cove at Selva Marina will host a series of open house events at its recently-opened sales center. The weekend gatherings will feature light refreshments and an opportunity for interested individuals to tour the property, learn about the new community and the plans to revitalize Selva Marina Country Club. The events are scheduled on July 25-26 and Aug. 29-30 from 2-5 p.m. The Cove at Selva Marina is a new 33-acre neighborhood of 98 homesites priced from $175,000 to $550,000.

• The City of Jacksonville/ Duval County will receive $806,179 to provide first time homebuyers with funds for a down payment using the current $8,000 federal tax credit under the Florida Homebuyer Opportunity Program. Representatives from the city’s Housing and Neighborhoods Division will present detailed information on July 16 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the University of North Florida’s University Center.
