A crew was digging a big hole in the sidewalk in front of the Courthouse Annex on East Bay Street Thursday morning. The excavation is the first step in the installation of a post and mast arm that will support new signals that will allow the traffic pattern to be altered during events. The entire project entails a signal arm about every 400 feet from Newnan Street all the way to the Sports Complex. It’s slated to be complete before Aug. 22 when the Jaguars play their first home preseason game.
