Nearly 400 members of the Jacksonville Bar Association celebrated Law Day and welcomed guest speaker, American Bar Association President-Elect candidate Stephen Zack, at a luncheon May 4.

The event was highlighted by the presentation of the Daily Record “Lawyer of the Year” award to William “W.C.” Gentry and the JBA “Liberty Bell” award to Fourth Judicial Circuit Judicial Assistant Mary Lou Martinson. The guest speaker was former Florida Bar President Stephen Zack of Boies, Schiller & Flexner in Miami. Zack is poised to become the first Hispanic-American president of the ABA. The ABA will vote on board nominations in August.
