Ponte Vedra High sophomore Will Newton jots down some notes while sitting in the press box before the Jacksonville Jaguars played the Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium Sunday. Newton and five other area high school students were members of the press Sunday as part of the Sportz Ventures High School Media Internship Program. The school is one of over 75 high schools in the U.S. to participate in the program. “The internship program is a great way for students to become involved at school,” said Gene Baker, athletic director of PVHS. “They cover and report on our sports and then learn more by working with professional teams and professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students.”

The students sat in the press box during the game and interacted with local members of the media, and attended Coach Jack Del Rio’s post game press conference.
