Another candidate enters race for mayor

Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland (right) stamped Duval County Tax Collector Mike Hogan’s campaign account registration to run for mayor of Jacksonville in the 2011 election Friday afternoon, while Hogan’s wife, Judy, witnesses the process. Hogan is the second candidate to announce this week, following Audrey Moran who made her intentions official Thursday. Hogan said, “This is the first step in a long, hard journey.” Holland said he expects as many as a dozen candidates to open campaign accounts and added: “I think six or seven will qualify for the election.”
