• Volpe, Bajalia, Wickes, Rogerson & Wachs has added two new associates. Caroline M. Prieto received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Aaron Prom received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Both will focus their practices on business litigation.
• Assistant Public Defender Pam Simons has been promoted to the Felony Unit, Division CRE, of the Public Defender’s Office. Simons moves from the County Court Unit. She began working at the PD’s office in the Juvenile Division in January. Simons is a 2005 graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law.
• No one is immune to the tireless efforts of the City’s Parking Division. Circuit Court Judge Adrian Soud was seen at the Tax Collector’s office paying a parking ticket Wednesday.
• Attorney William “Jack” Spradley has opened the law office of William J. Spradley, P.A., in the Lamp Post Professional Building in Riverside. Spradley has been practicing in Florida since 1984 and was recently admitted to the Georgia Bar. He practices in the fields of civil, liability, workers’ compensation and commercial litigation.
• Florida Coastal School of Law and 1st Coast Collaborative are joining together for a meet-and-greet Wednesday at Florida Coastal. The wine-and-cheese event runs from 6:30– 8 p.m. Those interested in attending and meeting others involved in the Collaborative Process are encouraged to RSVP through [email protected].
• Florida Coastal School of Law (FCSL) will host its Alumni Weekend 2009 Oct. 23-24, highlighted by more than nine hours of free CLE, a welcome reception on the deck at FCSL, family zoo outing and alumni banquet at the Marriott Sawgrass. • Fisher Koppenhafer Architecture and Interior Design is designing the renovation and expansion of Seymour’s Bookstore, the volunteer bookstore located within the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. The firm is serving as architect and interior designer for the Friends of the Library-Ponte Vedra Beach project, and donating design services to the organization.
