• Word is former Jaguar Tony Boselli will spearhead a Jaguars ticket initiative that’ll kick off during the Dec. 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts. The campaign, designed to generate interest and ticket sales for the 2010 season, includes the City, area business leaders and the team.
• Expect the local Fraternal Order of Police to endorse Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp today for attorney general in the Republican primary. There’s a press conference set for 3:30 at the FOP headquarters on Beach Boulevard.
• Remember former Ch. 4 reporter Byron Sexton, who aspires to be a professional wrestler? He made his debut as a broadcaster Tuesday night on Extreme Championship Wrestling.
• You probably know that officials with the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta are looking to lure the Florida-Georgia game from Jacksonville. What you may not know is that in Chick-fil-A Bowl President and CEO Gary Stokan’s pitch to Georgia Athletic Director Damon Evans, Stokan presents a proposal that only moves the game to Atlanta every four years.
• The Jacksonville Chapter of the American Institute of Architects will host a cocktail party to celebrate the “Raised the Floor 2009 Design Challenge” Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library. Guest speaker will be Steven Ayers, the “Architect of the Capitol.” There is no cost for the event but guests are asked to register at www.aiajacksonville.org.
