Florida State College at Jacksonville is now established as an Apple Authorized Training Center, offering the only available training between Atlanta and Orlando. This training is open to novice users and seasoned professionals at the school’s Deerwood Center.

The comprehensive course curriculum addresses a broad range of technical proficiencies for anyone including first time Mac users, IT or creative professionals, educators and service technicians.

Courses are delivered in an Apple-dedicated and Apple-approved, state-of-the- art, educational environment. The Apple lab is equipped with workstations to accommodate up to 18 students. Hands-on instruction is provided by Apple Certified Trainers who maintain Apple’s highest quality standards. Compact course offerings are designed to meet the scheduling demands of professionals. Additionally, the Deerwood Center can offer customized training to meet employers’ scheduling and personnel needs, without the added expense of out-of-region travel.

Industry experts cite five chief reasons to become Apple Certified:

• Certification raises earning potential. Studies show that certified professionals can earn more than non-certified peers.

• Certified personnel, with proven mastery of a technology, stand out in the crowd.

• Increased marketability. Hiring managers favor candidates whose knowledge and skills are validated by certification.

• Accelerated career advancement. In a fast-paced dynamic world, with shortages in many specialized fields, certifications give heightened control over career path and progress.

• Certified personnel stay current and relevant. Maintaining current industry certification demonstrates initiative and helps technicians stay ahead of the pack.
