Profile: Rep. Audrey Gibson
A Democrat, she represents District 15, which includes Downtown, parts of the Northside, Arlington and the St. Nicholas areas of Jacksonville. She chairs the Duval Delegation.
Election History
Elected to the seat in 2002 with 57 percent of the vote, beating opponents Mack Freeman and Rahman Johnson. Re-elected in 2006 with 56 percent of the vote, defeating former City Council member Reggie Fullwood.
Education
Earned a bachelor’s in criminology from Florida State University and an associate degree from Florida Community College at Jacksonville, now Florida State College at Jacksonville.
Occupation
Paralegal for the law firm of Terrell Hogan.

“Thank God for the president, his ideas and the dollars. We would have been way worse off without them.”
How she de-stresses
“When I get away, I don’t answer my cell phone. Other than that, I plant flowers in my yard and stay in and watch movies after making sure I have everything I need so I won’t have to go back out.”
Guilty pleasure
“Lots and lots of dark chocolate. It doesn’t matter if anyone is watching.”
