Judith Sisler Johnston and her company, Sisler Johnston Interior Design, took home three Laurels during the recent ceremony.
Here’s how Sisler Johnston described the products in the company’s nominating statements:
Charleston at Tidewater
“The architectural references throughout the home were craftsman with coastal Florida influences. The two-story family home has four bedrooms, a bonus room, wrap-around porch and tin roof accents.
“The double story foyer has a majestic staircase and opens into the dining room and two story great room. A rich walnut plank floor extends from foyer through the entertainment areas of the home.”
Fleet Landing
“At the heart of this Gated Senior Living Community is its new community ‘wellness’ center. Its facilities, programs and staff strive to provide options to residents that enhance every aspect of living. Fitness, recreation, education, social and cultural activities find their home in this new campus amenity.
“The designer’s goal was to provide interior design specifications and furnishings that would be as therapeutically pleasing as the wellness center functions. The team selected a Coastal Mediterranean theme and color palette of terra cotta, sage, ochre and azure blue.”
Milan model at Bella Terra
“The Mediterranean Coastal-themed community derived its inspiration from the villas seen along the coast of Italy, France and Spain.
“Because this builder provided four fully furnished models, the designer planned each one to reflect a different provincial flavor along the Mediterranean Coast.
“The Milan Model was designed to reflect a Tuscan countryside province. The furnishings were enhanced with a black rubbed-through-to-pine painted finish. Black accents and color references are woven throughout the colorful home in fabric and accessory compliments.”
