Mattamy Homes first unveiled its new Laurel-winning sales center prototype in February 2009. Not too long after, the planning for the new Sevilla Sales Center started as part of our next model home in Sevilla. It consists of 732 square feet and was built for $40,000.
The purpose is to create the same branding image for Mattamy Homes across the U.S. and to also establish that the company is a builder that will be here in the future. It all began with a detailed specification notebook for each item in the sales center - in Mattamy’s centers across the U.S., visitors will see the same concepts including flooring, wallpaper, paint colors, framed displays, lighting, mirrors, furniture and logos.
The company’s target buyer is the “Affordable Starter Family” so designers wanted to create the feel of an open, welcoming area.
By adding details such as a stone-textured wallpaper and dark brown paint to emulate wood, the designers created a classic, traditional look that isn’t pretentious and makes the visitor feel at home. Also included was a lounge area that features two chocolate brown leather chairs, with sconce lights, and a branding Mattamy logo.
As customers enter the Sales Center, they will notice a large photograph that actually doubles as a security screen. Agents can see who is walking in from their own office but the customers cannot see through the glass because of the perforated screen.
Customers will also see and hear the Mattamy Builder Story playing on the flat screen in one of the custom-built niches as the company strongly believes in its history and felt this is the best way to present it to potential buyers.
The site plan table is in the room and included are barstools for customer comfort when viewing the available sites. Two walls are designated for use as product displays and this is where the framed plans are set. These plans are easy to view and incorporate the neighborhood’s theme.
To the right of the Sales Center is the lifestyle board, “Life In & Around Sevilla,” which showcases area retail and grocery stores as well as entertainment venues.
To the left is where visitors will find a separate sales office fully furnished with credenzas, a desk and chairs. There is also a mirror with vinyl lettering that boldly states the customer satisfaction theme, “Customer Satisfaction Is Something We Build Into Every Home.”
