• Simone Marstiller, of Tallahassee, was appointed to the First District Court of Appeals to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Edward T. Barfield. Marstiller, 45, has served as executive director of the Florida Elections Commission, associate deputy attorney general, secretary of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, deputy chief of staff of the Executive Office of the Governor, general counsel and interim secretary of the Department of Management Services, as assistant general counsel for the Executive Office of the Governor and as chief appellate counsel for the Agency for Healthcare Administration.
