• Speaking of the Public Defender’s Office, the City is looking to donate a few vehicles for the office’s use. Once approved by City Council, the City will transfer ownership of two 1998 Ford Tauruses and and a 2003 GMAC Envoy.
• The Jacksonville office of Cushman & Wakefield has moved. The commercial real estate brokers new address is 13891 Sutton Park Dr. S., Suite 170. That’s off Hodges Boulevard just east of St. Johns Town Center and south of the University of North Florida.
• A new Publix supermarket is opening Thursday at 2875 University Blvd. W. in University Square. It will replace the store at University Mall. The company’s 1,102 stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee are owned and operated by its more than 142,000 employees and has annual sales of more than $24 billion.
• Speaking of opening, Salt Life in Jacksonville Beach has opened. It’s in the old Harry’s location on Third Street. Also, the One Hot Cookie store has moved from Neptune Beach next to the Loop to the same property that houses Salt Life.
