When the Dalton Agency opened its Downtown headquarters, Jim Dalton said one of his goals was to invigorate the neighborhood and become part of the fabric of the urban core. The first step was to renovate a building at Hemming Plaza and bring more than 60 people to work Downtown.
The latest step is making the agency’s headquarters available to Fogle Fine Art & Consulting to use as an exhibit space and showroom, so there’s fine art on the walls throughout the building.
“It helps the artists get exposure and it also gets exposure for the agency. It’s like communications and art colliding and becoming a living thing,” said Dalton Executive Vice President Michael Munz.
Project Manager Lesley Hamilton said that after Fogle closed its St. Nicholas area gallery to focus on consulting with corporate clients on design, there hasn’t been a place for patrons to view works by the artists Fogle represents.
“Being at the Dalton Agency helps us maintain our ties with the community and this is the perfect location,” she said. “It’s a beautiful space and we can be part of Art Walk.”
