• Correction. The essay contest held by the D.W. Perkins Bar asked students at Brentwood Elementary School of the Arts which three rights of “The Bill of Rights” were most important to them, not which three they would give up, as reported in the Daily Record on Friday.
• Judge Karen Mills-Francis, keynote speaker at the D.W. Perkins Bar Annual Scholarship Banquet on Thursday, let those in attendance know that her “Judge Karen’s Court” TV show would be carried by FOX in September.
• Jill Tager, former executive director of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society North Florida Chapter, has a new position. Effective mid-June, she’s the new administrator for Haven Hospice of St. Johns and Putnam counties.
• The Downtown Council of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce staffed a booth to sell ice cream at the World of Nations Celebration at Metropolitan Park. Members volunteered in shifts and raised $1,800 to help fund the council’s educational and community service projects.
