In an effort to streamline its governance structure and preserve financial resources, the Senior Officers of the Florida Home Builders Association have proposed a series of bylaws changes that will be considered by the FHBA Board of Directors when it meets on October 23 during the Fall Leadership Conference at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs.
The proposed changes are available for review at www.fhba.com under the Fall Leadership Conference section on the home page.
The proposed changes reduce the size of the FHBA Executive Committee, allow board members to vote by electronic means and reduce the number of board meetings held annually.
Earlier this year, the board reduced its size by proportionately reducing the number of state directors from each local HBA.
