Sales continues to stay about even with last year in the statistics released last month by Florida Realtors.

The state real estate association, which polls local associations to develop the numbers, said state home sales were 2 percent higher in April 2011 than April 2010 though prices dropped 6 percent.

The Northeast Florida region saw a 1 percent increase in home sales but a 9 percent drop in price. The April average in the area was $125,800.

Condo sales were slightly lower in the April vs. April comparison but prices went up 16 percent to an average of $63,000.
