To offer buyers the convenience of touring as many homes as they care to in just one weekend, members of the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors are gearing up to host more than 1,000 open houses March 26-27 as a part of the second annual Florida Open House Weekend. The statewide event is the largest open house weekend event in the nation.
It’s a great opportunity for buyers and sellers alike. Sellers benefit from increased traffic and buyers like the convenience of touring numerous open houses in a short time frame. While the event is a fun way to attract buyers and help them learn more about what is available in the local housing market, the savings of time and gas is especially helpful in the current economy.
“Potential homebuyers typically spend numerous hours - often taking up lots of limited weekend time looking for a home,” said 2011 NEFAR President Dane Leslie. “By having a designated weekend where more than a thousand available properties hold open houses simultaneously, there is a real return on time investment, especially for the serious buyer.”
Blue balloons featuring the signature Realtor “R” in white will be displayed at participating open houses throughout the region.
A real-time, updating roster of all local March 26-27 open houses is available on the home page of the NEFAR website, www.NEFAR.com.
The searchable roster is interactive, allowing searches by price, region, area, city, zip code, number of bedrooms or bathrooms and more. Open house addresses, photos and home details are also provided.
