• Alhambra Theatre & Dining opens “Christmas Carole” on Nov. 30. It will be the 20th time in 21 years that the Christmas classic is performed at the dinner theater. It will be the first time in more than 10 years the show will feature a new set and costumes, a new lead actor playing the part of Scrooge and a new chef in the kitchen. Former Scrooge Tony Triano moved to New York for Broadway and the role is being filled by Gary Marachek, who was the original Scrooge when the Alhambra ran it the very first time. • In Downtown restaurant news, the City approved a permit for McMawakakir Management LLC to build out space at 100 N. Laura St. for Mid-Town Deli & Café at a project cost of $89,233.

• Tapestry Park in Southside welcomes Starbucks Coffee. The Angelo Group Inc. is now handling the construction at a project cost of $387,875, according to a City building permit; look for Home Smart at 8595 Beach Blvd., No. 321, with Signal Point Systems Inc. handling build-out at a project cost of $68,000; Continental Contractors of Maryland Inc. is working on interior renovations for The Inn at Mayo Clinic at a $147,798 project cost; CalRey Construction LLC is working on interior alternations for Monument Road Animal Hospital at 1238 Monument Road at a project cost of $225,000.

• Jacksonville Port Authority CEO Paul Anderson will be the keynote speaker Nov. 29 to the Economic Roundtable of Jacksonville. The meeting is 11:30 a.m. at the Davis College of Business at Jacksonville University. He’s scheduled to talk about port expansion.
