When they meet: Monthly membership socials are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Locations vary, depending where the sponsor for that social would like to host.

Meeting agenda: Meetings are mostly dedicated to the sponsors who have the opportunity to tell other members about their business. “Our local building official attends the majority of the meetings and gives us updates on the happenings of the building department,” said Brown. “Also, the association executive of the St. Augustine/St. Johns County Board of Realtors will give us information pertaining to real estate. Since this is an election year, our Governmental Affairs Committee chairman also gives our members information on that subject.”

Other events put on by the SBJ: The SBJ holds an annual fishing tournament, Parade of Homes and a charity golf tournament.
