What is the Council's purpose?

The council stays involved with the issues that affect the local remodeling industry. It also promotes and supports the growth of its individual members. "As the remodelers business grows so does the businesses of those who support them," said Clayton Bailey of NEFBA.

Staff person: Clayton Bailey.

Office: NEFBA office, 103 Century 21 Drive.

Membership: Remodelers, insurance agents, suppliers, accountants, plumbers, electricians, interior designers, painters, architects and any other field related to remodeling.

Who can join: Remodelers and anyone that would support a remodeler, such as insurance agents, suppliers, accountants, plumbers, electricians, interior designers, painters and architects.

When they meet: Third Wednesday of the month.

Time/place: 11:30 a.m. at the NEFBA offices.

How many attend: 60-70.

Cost to attend: $7 for members and $10 for non-members.

Meeting agenda: Upcoming events are discussed, new members and guests are introduced and an industry specific speaker. Last month an attorney member discussed contract updates and in January product defects will discussed.

Other events: Each year the Remodelers host a clay shooting event, golf tournament, a garage sale and the First Coast Remodelers Awards ceremony.

Leadership: Tom Trout with Tom Trout Inc. Starting in January, the chair will be Katrina Hosea with BeeTree Homes.

Bailey's role: He advertises the meetings, makes sure everything is arranged for the luncheons and answers every day questions from the members.
