Prudential Network Realty is expanding Gibraltar Title Services and has added real estate attorney Emily Hicks to its team as assistant counsel and escrow officer. She will be based at the company's corporate office.

"Emily's understanding of the legal system combined with her knowledge of the real estate industry makes her a welcome addition to the team," said Gibraltar Title Services General Manager Al Copertino. "Her expertise as a real estate attorney makes her a tremendous asset to the associates and clients of Prudential Network Realty and Gibraltar Title Services."

In her position, Hicks is responsible for handling the legal documentation in the closing process. She explains all documents to homebuyers and answers questions about potential liabilities. Her position is extremely important to the overall satisfaction of the homebuyer.

A Florida licensed attorney and real estate broker, Hicks has extensive experience in the area of real estate law and commercial litigation, including the representation of both lenders and homeowners in residential foreclosure cases, consumer debt, bankruptcies and short sales.

Hicks earned a bachelor's degree from Florida State University and a law degree from Pace University in New York. Her professional experience includes working at the law firm of Cerussi & Spring, managing property acquisitions and dispositions for developers and homebuilders, and serving as Assistant County Attorney for Nassau County.
