The Laurel Awards are back in their original setting: one ceremony for all, even though there are a lot of awards to be given.
After a few years of separating the awards into two ceremonies, the Laurels will all be given at once on March 9.
The change to a dual ceremony was an experiment and the SMC board decided that one evening event was more in line with the importance of the awards than to give them at two breakfast meetings.
The ceremony will be at Nocatee’s Crosswater Hall with a social time from 6:30-7 and the program from 7-8:30. Tickets are $30.
The major awards are the Grand Award, the Golden Service Award and the Dick Baker Memorial Award.
There are also over 30 other awards in various categories: Marketing, Design, Green and Individual.
The latter category includes Realtor of the Year, Developer of the Year and Sales Manager of the Year.
This year’s event is sponsored by Wells Fargo, Durbin Crossing, Lennar Jacksonville and The PARC Group.
Ross Fanti of LMH Realty is this year’s chair for the Northeast Florida Builders Association and its Sales and Marketing Council.
Tickets are $30 and may be obtained from the NEFBA office at 725-4355.
