Purpose: to bring Realtors and affiliates in the Jacksonville Beaches area to show caravan listings, market themselves and network.

Membership: Realtors and affiliates. The latter currently include mortgage professionals, pest control companies, title companies, home management companies and attorneys.
Who can join: Any NEFAR member.
When do they meet?
Time/place: 8:45 a.m. Thursdays office.
How many attend: 15-40.
Cost to attend: Weekly meetings are free, but special events can run $15-40, depending on the event and the level of sponsorship.
Meeting agenda: Light breakfast, self introductions, speaker, recognition of sponsors.
Other events: Monthly social, annual golf tournament, caravans, community projects such as building wheelchair ramps and painting houses.
Caravans: “They’re old fashioned caravans where everybody goes to see the house at the same time and they travel as a group to see other listings that are on the list. Some people like to ride with others so they can network.”
Leadership: The 2012 chair is Rosie Granata of Watson Realty. The vice chair is Donna Bavier of Brightway Insurance.
Dermody’s role: Office manager, registers new members, leases keys and sells lockboxes. She also sits in on the meetings, takes notes and sends information to Melanie Green, NEFAR’s communication director, to create event fliers if needed. She also handles all the Council funds and reservations for events.
