An estimated 125 people gathered last month at the Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Jacksonville for the inaugural Urban Land Institute North Florida Awards for Excellence.
The winners and categories were:
• San Marco Place. San Marco Place is a 440,000-square-foot, 141-unit mixed-use condominium project on the Southbank.
• CSX 550 Water Street Relocation, Private Sector. Jacksonville-based CSX Corp. relocated more than 970 employees from 301 W. Bay St. to 550 Water St., next to its Downtown headquarters.
• Riverside Arts Market, Public Sector. The weekly Riverside Arts Market began in 2009 along Riverside Avenue under the Fuller Warren Bridge overpass.
• Visionary Leaders Award. University of North Florida President John Delaney was presented the award for his use of urban growth management strategies at the UNF campus.
