special to Realty/Builder Connection
Realty/Builder Connection continued its sweep of Laurel Awards in the Best Publication/Industry category at the recent ceremony.
"We appreciate the recognition and it reinforces that we are doing what we intended: to serve the real estate and construction communities," said Jim Bailey, the newspaper's publisher and president of the Jacksonville-based Bailey Publishing & Communications Inc. "We've been doing this for 14 years and we've seen the ups and downs of the business, just like our readers. We're part of the business."
The monthly newspaper is mailed at no charge to people in the industries. It's sent to all licensed Realtors in Duval, Clay, St. Johns and Baker counties, regardless of their membership in any association, and to all Northeast Florida Builders Association members.
The content has remained constant over the years: predominately up-to-date news and photographs of people involved in the local industries.
"There are many national-oriented publications out there," said Bailey, "but no one in this area goes to the extent that we do in covering the news of Northeast Florida.
"If there is an event, you'll probably see our staff members. People of interest will be profiled in our pages. We have the only comprehensive calendars of Upcoming Events. We also have listings for educational opportunities."
Here are some ways that readers can participate:
