City offices, libraries closed for Labor Day

City government offices and public libraries will be closed Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday, but recreational facilities will be open.

Huguenot Memorial Park and Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. For park rules and beach access updates, visit jaxparks.com.

City pools will be open under normal hours Saturday and Sunday and all pools will be open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday. The Cecil Aquatics Center will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday.

All three City tennis complexes at Boone Park, Clanzel T. Brown Park and Southside Park will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday.

Residential garbage, yard waste and recycling will be collected Monday as usual with the exception of appliances, which will not be collected. The Trail Ridge landfill will maintain regular hours.
