Workers from ACON Construction Co. Inc. were dealing with temperatures and humidity levels in the mid-90s Thursday to continue repairing the Main Library Downtown. City Council approved $1.4 million from the Public Buildings Facilities Capital Maintenance Fund for testing, construction engineering services and contingency to eliminate water intrusion and address safety concerns with the library’s skylights and stucco. City Engineer Manager Tom Goldsbury said the work is scheduled to be completed by Jan. 7.
