Thomas Salomone, a Realtor from Coral Springs, is on the National Association of Realtors’ leadership ladder. He was elected the NAR first vice president last month and is in line to become the association’s president in 2016.
The new president is Steve Brown from Dayton, Ohio, and the president-elect is Chris Polychron of Hot Springs, Ark. The elections were held at NAR’s Real Estate Conference and Expo last month in San Francisco.
Salomone is a second-generation Realtor and broker/owner of Real Estate II.
The South Florida native was president of the Florida Realtors in 2003 and was Florida’s Realtor of the Year in 2005. He has been a Realtor for 38 years and serves as a member of NAR’s Executive Committee and on the newly appointed Corporate Investor Council. He has served on several national committees, was director of NAR’s Realtor Party Activities in 2012, and was 2007 regional vice president for Region V.
Other new officers are Michael McGrew from Lawrence, Kan., and vice presidents Beth Peerce of Century City, Calif. and JoAnne Poole of Baltimore.
The regional vice president for Region V is B.J. Harris of St John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Region V covers Florida Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
