Downtown is always decorated for the holidays and the neighborhood's office towers have some of the largest displays.

The Wells Fargo Center has a new look this year. Instead of a single tree near the Independent Drive entrance, the fountains in the garden lobby have been transformed into bases for two trees surrounded by gift boxes. The Barnett Jewelers nativity scene usually placed on a table near the Atrium restaurant is this year inside the store.

Downtown's longest-standing business, Jacobs Jewelers, opened in 1890. The tree near the door along Laura Street has been a tradition each holiday season since.

"The children are amazed and the adults come to admire the tree," said Jacobs owner Deloris Thomas.
