If you just don’t feel like cooking a holiday meal Wednesday, Downtown has dining options for Christmas Day.
The culinary team at the Hyatt will be serving the hotel’s traditional holiday buffet.
Displayed along with ice carvings from noon-5 p.m. will be salads such as butternut squash with mushrooms, hearts of palm and spiced walnuts; red and yellow tomatoes and mozzarella with basil, cracked black pepper and olive oil; and imported domestic and imported artisan cheeses.
This year’s seafood appetizers include scallop and mussels ceviche and smoked salmon with capers, tomatoes, eggs and red onion.
Entrees are roasted duck breast with green peppercorn and shiitake mushroom demi-glace, seared grouper filet and New Zealand lamb chops with mint demi-glace and curry roasted apples.
Hyatt chefs will be carving ham with bourbon-pineapple glaze and herb and garlic crusted sirloin of beef with rosemary mustard au jus.
Bread pudding, red velvet cake and chocolate mousse parfait are among the desserts.
The Christmas buffet is $31.95 for adults, $16.95 for children 6-12, and free for children under 5 years of age.

Juliette’s Bistro at the Omni is offering a $27 per person holiday entrée plate Wednesday with (choose two) roasted turkey with gravy, prime rib with au jus and glazed ham. The chef’s holiday entrée plate is served with mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, candied yams and cranberry sauce.
