A deal to relocate C2C Solutions and its 200 employees Downtown from Riverside and the Southside will involve $48,000 in parking incentives.
The Medicare appeals contractor will consolidate its operations and move to the 6th floor of the EverBank Center, company and City officials announced Wednesday.
"This is the best place for us to be," said Tom Manley, president and CEO of TMF Health Quality Institute, the parent company of C2C parent company.
A proposed incentive for the move will use $48,000 from a $9 million Downtown economic development fund to subsidize employee parking at a lot owned by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority at Stuart and West Forsyth streets near the Osborn Center.
Employees can to ride the Skyway to Central Station, a route timed at just more than three minutes, said authority CEO Nathaniel Ford.
Legislation was not filed for the agreement as of this morning.
Ford said the deal provides for 200 spots for the company with up to 250 available.
Manley said the parking subsidy played a "major role in decision-making" for relocating Downtown.
Downtown Investment Authority board members discussed the incentive Wednesday during their monthly meeting. City officials said the 4-year deal provides subsidized parking for the first two years with the company paying for the remaining two years.
The City was not involved in the office lease negotiation and will pay the transportation authority about $10 for each monthly spot.
The company will occupy 30,000 square feet in the building at 301 W. Bay St. in a move Manley said was based on necessity because of growth. He said August was the target move-in date.
The company is moving jobs from Freedom Commerce Centre and from Riverside Avenue.
