Q. Why did you decide to apply for the Florida Leadership Academy?

A. "I hope to further my business skills and understanding of where my true strengths are in the real estate community. I would like to gain more experience in the Florida Realtors to better lead and there by encourage others, as so many have done for me."

"I look forward to sharing my past experiences and learning from that of other's who foster an atmosphere that promotes growth. Involvement in the Florida Realtors Leadership Academy will strengthen our Realtor community through education and networking."

"I was drawn to participate in the Academy to learn more about the organization and to grow in the industry. As a Realtor, there are so many opportunities for involvement. I hope to gain the communication and transferable business skills to pass along to others in the Realtor family."

Q. How much time do you think it will take?

A. "We will participate in classroom activities, group and independent study sessions, team-building and goal-setting exercises, leadership techniques and communication skills enhancement. In addition, we will collectively work on their class project designed to promote greater awareness of the need for organ donation. The final session and graduation is in October."

Q. Who prompted you to do it?

A. "My mentors. I have always been involved in the Florida Realtors by attending conventions and being part of committees, but wanted to give more. I discussed with them my business plan and the opportunity of Florida Leadership Academy. With the support of my mentors in the business, I applied for Florida Leadership Academy."
